AMIGOS AMIGAS
The last couple weeks have been very interesting for me, I just got back from vacations and I really really want to meet new people and make new friends, sounds easy for the rest of the world but for me is sooooo hard.
Normally with new people I am a very quiet person, not good if I want make some friends right ??? Now u can understand my little problem ... LOL, anyway I am trying to change this and I think I am doing very well.
Two weeks ago I went to a birthday party, I meet so many latingirls just like me, it was so funny everybody speaking Spanish just like in hometown, these ladies are sooooooo nice and sweet, I never thought it was going to have such a great time cause I am not a mommy but I did, it was great.
Last week I accepted an invitation for lunch with 3 nice ladies, I felt so weird normally I don't accept invitation and I just stay at home doing nothingggg, but I have a good feeling with this ladies who I meet in this web site, they seem to be smart and fun and I was right cause I had so much fun there.
This week is officially my first day at work, so I guess I will meet new people there.
How about you ?? Do you have good friend here ??

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!

This is my first Halloween in Doha and my ring bell don't stop, i had not idea that here is so nice, glad to have some candy bars to give to the witches, the draculas and the Harry Potters.

Is good restaurant in Doha ?
I am definitely a bad writer but I need keep doing this, so this time I want talk about one of my favorite subjects ... FOOD.
I looooove food and I have this special taste to find out the ingredients when I am eating something, that is the way I learn to cook, just tasting the food, now I think I am pretty good cooking some Latin/Mexican/Italian dishes.
I've been visiting some restaurants around the city and after few months here, I can say Doha has a great variety of places to eat, this are my favorites until now.
Neo.- We had sushi, the place and the food are great, but the service is terrible, the waiter can't explain the menu cause hardly they speak English and the prices are too expensive.
Le Notre.- Love the place, love the food, love the service, prices are affordable.
Paloma.- We went last night, I love Mexican food and everything about it was perfect, the nachos with dip, fajitas, enchiladas, guacamole, pico de gallo, beans, rice, mmm .... perfect. Service and prices are good.
crepe&Away.- I like the crepes but I can eat here every day, they don't have many options in the menu and also I find the place expensive, I still like it.
Caravan.- I love the menu and the possibility of choose between different kind of food, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Chinese and Filipino, is really good and cheap, never ate there we used the delivery service.
Nandos's.- Good chicken with herbs and the salad is awesome, cheap cheap cheap.
The Italian Job.- Very good food, good service, nice ambiance with life singers and good prices.
Ric's.- Love the American breakfast, the place is not nice but the muffins with gravy, meet, eggs, natural orange juice are really really good and cheap.
There is other places like Chili's and Friday's serving American food, prices are ok.
After been eating in Doha so much, we just decided start a " strict diet" with just grill food and salads, not big dinners and not coke ... ok, this will work maybe for one week so I am already thinking about the new places I want to go the next month and the options are Beto's (Argentina restaurant), Fauchon (French food), Tajine (Lebanese food) and The Great Wall (Chinese food).

NEWS

I am wondering why in our pictures we always look like Indians (and I have nothing against them), that is why people all over the world have the wrong conception about Ecuador and his people.

Just check this link:

Anyway, yesterday was a very important day in my country, we were invited to vote, we had the power of decide who will be the next President for the next 4 years, and I think that is amazing.

I want to be positive and don't talk about the dark side of the democracy (that side allowed us change 7 Presidents in the last 10 years), I pray for my people to make the best decision between the last 2 candidates.

The late news proclaim 2 winners to go in a second round, the first one Rafael Correa is a communist, a new face (pretty face btw), his political experience is been a former Economy Minister for about 4 months, I heard from students that is an excellent teacher, charming and polite, good friend of Hugo Chavez, he will try to implant the same politic in our country, in my opinion ... a big liar with a pretty face.

The second one is Alvaro Noboa, the richest man in Ecuador owner of 110 companies, this is his third time trying to be President and maybe this time he will get it, not very charm on TV but very intelligent and with great advisers behind.

The next election will be in November 25th.

Hello everyone, i am back in lovely Doha ...
I can't believe the tower at the Khalifa Stadium is almost done, I am sure many things are not ready yet but seems like all the people is giving the best to have a great Asian Games in December.
Is time for Ramadam and I feel so bless to live the experience in a Muslim country, I would love that every person that I know have the same opportunity to live in different cultures and meet so many interesting people (personally and online).
Back in my normal and bored life, I am waiting for a phone call to arrange my training and start working, arggggg it was supposed to call 5 days ago but I guess i just have to wait, Inshallah they will call this week.
For everyone Ramadam Kareem and a great week !!!

The Book

I am reading the last novel wrote by Paulo Coelho ...

I love his books and this one is not the exception, the name of the book is "La Bruja de Portobello" (The Witch of Portobello) and is a story about a girl called Athena and his daily fight to find the happiness ... but what is special about her is that she is not a normal girl, she get married and divorced, had a little boy, move to Dubai for work, learn to dance and learn calligraphy after all this she discovered that she has a power to see inside of the people, i am reading this part right now ... so i have to finish the book to see what will happen.

This story seems to be half real and the writer made so many interviews to know about the life or Athena and write the book, anyway the style of this book is not usual, because Paulo Coelho is not writing something just from his mind, what he did in this one is write what every people told him about this incredible woman, the description of everyone shows so much love and hate for her ... i can't wait to see how ends this story.

Bye Bye
