Finally, after three months of searching I find a job !!!
I sent my CV everywhere and when I was getting tired of have not response I remembered an advise from one of my new friends "Put your picture and they will call" ... Well I put my picture (and I am not Miss Universe at all, just NORMAL) and one week after three companies called to set meetings !!! Is not that weird, evidently is different, nobody ask me for my documents (mean my diploma, references, letter, nothing !!!), I could write that I have a degree from Harvard and here in Doha everybody will believe me and hire me or maybe not if I don't send my picture ...
Anyway I am happy because I find it by myself, nobody help me to do it, I am learning how to do everything alone and the experience is invaluable, my next step is get a car ... I am so scared about driving here, I am thinking to get a taxi everyday but is so expensive, I can even buy a new car with that money.
I am trying to be positive this is a good beginning, better things will come soon, I don't know why I am still sad, maybe get a job here means that I will stay for long time, but that was my plan since the beginning, why I have to be sad ??? Silly me ...Bye Bye.

Nice blog.
I dunno but in Qatar we tend to think the best of ppl. We give ppl the benefit of the doubt. If you say Harvard on your CV we will believer you, but trust me sooner than later we will discover what your really made off. Another problem i find in Qatar, we find great diffculty in firing someone.
Best of luck in Qatar and buy an SUV that way no matter how bad the driving is you'll always be safe.
Nice to hear that you found some work . I have been looking for as well - wthout succes . I had two interviews - and two missed chances-when I felt I really got it-but I did not . Then nowadays I am asking myself if I really want to go out everyday .Work - boss - difficulties in transportation .i may trying something now at home .
Hi Latina Girl
And Congrats on getting a job !!!
Everyone speaks about the booming economy in Qatar and the number of jobs available - but unless you actually sign a contract, you have nothing to show.
I am really happy for you.
I am alos looking for an opening in Qatar but in the Oil and Gas Engineering sector.
I sent in my resume to this consultancy called Eligo Recruitment based in Qatar, but they have yet to acknowledge or respond to my application.
Their website only gives a PO box and an email address.
Best of luck for you new job !
